Frenship school meets new employees, hears STAAR results

Frenship’s results from the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness were above the state and regional averages in every category, according to the TAPR report. Additionally, Frenship’s class of 2015 also had higher SAT and ACT scores than statewide and regional averages.

With a 98.1 percent graduation rate, Frenship’s class of 2015 also was higher than the state average of 89.0 percent and the regional average of 91.2 percent.

Trustees approved an order to hold a general election for two board positions in Places 3 and 4. Those two seats are currently held by Trustees Kyle Rogers and Greg Robinson.

The election will be held May 6. Trustees serve for terms of three years.

Frenship board members also honored three Frenship High students for their participation in the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders Conference in Boston.

As part of the Texas School Board Recognition Month, board members were also honored by the district officials for their service.
