The National Leadership Academies is committed to providing a safe and secure website and program experience. We are dedicated to safeguarding personally identifiable information collected online and helping visitors learn how to exercise control over their personally identifiable information while exploring our websites and participating in our programs.

At The National Leadership Academies, we do not collect personally identifiable information unless visitors voluntarily provide it to us.

  • Student’s full name;
  • graduation year;
  • mailing address;
  • email address;
  • cell phone number;
  • Parent/Guardian contact information;
  • teacher, counselor, or educator contact information;
  • academic qualification information;
  • career interest information;
  • nomination and enrollment information; and
  • payment information, including credit card number and billing address, if applicable.

This information is necessary for enrollment in our programs, nomination of students, program information requests, academic verification, payment processing, and program communications.

You may decline to submit information to us, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

When visitors come to our website, we may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information, such as the type of computer operating system and browser being used, the domain name of the Internet service provider, website usage information, and similar technical information.

II. How We Use Collected Information

We use visitors’ personal information, both personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable, for the following purposes:

  • enrollment in our programs;
  • sending program information by regular mail, email, text message, telephone, or other communication channels;
  • verifying GPA, ACT, SAT, or other academic qualifications;
  • collecting information on career interests;
  • communicating important program notifications or updates;
  • processing payments;
  • responding to questions and requests;
  • improving program operations;
  • making decisions for future program planning; and
  • sending information about our programs, promotions, services, or those of our affiliates that we think may be of interest.

III. Sharing Your Information With Third Parties

We share information only in limited circumstances.

Except as provided below with respect to third-party service providers and other limited uses described in this Policy, The National Leadership Academies will not rent, sell, or share names of nominees or minors.

The National Leadership Academies may share parents’ personally identifiable information, non-personally identifiable information, aggregate or anonymous information, and/or household information with reputable companies offering products or services we think may be of interest to parents or families.

The National Leadership Academies may disclose information as required by law, including in response to a court order, subpoena, or specific law enforcement request.

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, including payment processors, customer service providers, support providers, technology providers, advertising service providers, content providers, enrollment support providers, and other vendors assisting with program operations.

We may disclose personally identifiable and/or non-personally identifiable information obtained for enrollment, nomination, marketing, communication, or program purposes to these third-party service providers.

We may also share information with affiliates, trusted technology partners, and third-party vendors who generate educational program content, products, or services; create nomination and enrollment materials; provide customer service or billing services; consult with parents and teachers; provide communications services; assist with online forums, message boards, social networks, or blogs; or help us deliver program-related services.

These third parties are expected to maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personally identifiable information and may access personal information only as needed to perform their functions.

Other than as described above, you will receive notice when personally identifiable information about you might be provided to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

V. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use software technology called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ computer browsers to store preferences. Cookies themselves do not contain personally identifiable information.

Although cookies could enable us to relate a visitor’s use of the website to personal information that the visitor has provided, such as an email address, we do not use cookies for this purpose.

The National Leadership Academies does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

If we learn that we have collected personally identifiable information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Parents, guardians, Students, educators, and other users may contact us to review, update, correct, or request deletion of personally identifiable information, subject to applicable law, program administration requirements, recordkeeping requirements, and legitimate business needs.
